March 2013 visiting the great Copper Canyon in the state of Chihuahua Mexico.

After relaxing dinner and overnight in El Fuerte, Sinaloa at the magnificent Hacienda Hildago – the original house of Diego De la Vega or as we know him the legendary –Zoro, we boarded the El Chepe train to the Copper Canyon, Chihuahua. This natural wonder is 4-5 times larger then the Grand Canyon in USA. It is also the home of Tarahumara indigenous people in translation meaning the running people. They live the simple life and are very colorful. El Chepe train takes you from El Fuerte to Chihuahua or vice versa. The most interesting part of the journey is from El Fuerte to Diversario/Creel and the best place to stay is Posada Baranca.

Sitting on a balcony of the cruise ship sailing along the great Yangtze. I was here last time over 20 years ago. What a change! The clothing is not uniformed and the young people pose for pictures every which way. The older generation still poses the military way. Mao is still a hero with young and old. Beijing is big and the traffic is webbed – cars, scooters, bicycles. The Forbidden City looks different now with so many visitors, mostly Chinese. It was thrilling to climb the Great Wall, visit the Olympic site with the Bird’s Nest stadium and the Tiananmen square.

Xi’an and the terracotta worriers were totally amazing. Enjoyed the Impression West Lake performance in Hangzhou.Loved Shanghai especially at night. Enjoyed the picturesque scenery of Li River.
